Did you spend part of your Sunday watching the New York Jets, the team the Browns play next Sunday in their only road game in a four-game stretch

They lost 23–12 to the Chicago Bears on the road, and it wasn’t pretty. They fell behind 20-6 and didn’t seriously threaten to make the game close after that.

You can’t hide the fact that the Bears aren’t very good — once again. They fell to 1–3 after being outgained in total yards 492 to 157.

Ouch!

But the Browns can’t get caught up in all that. They have to prepare as if they’re playing the defending Super Bowl champions. If they think this is going to be easy, then they are in for a big surprise. They worked very hard to win these last three games, and improve their record to 3-1, good enough for a tie for first place with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North. They can’t cancel out all that sweat and toil by failing to prepare just as completely as they have the last three weeks. Good teams win games like this. They’re able to shut out the distractions in the things that caused them to have more of a belief in their abilities and should actually be the case. But the Jets don’t care about what you did the last three weeks. They are focusing on themselves, desperate to get a victory, and stop this season from spiraling out of control even more.

The Browns have become the hunted instead of the hunters. They have to understand what that means. If not, they will end u being the hunters again, and that’s not very good, if you know what I mean.
