What is Jimmy Haslam thinking? Browns Daily Dose by Steve King

Friday, Aug. 28 (AM) — Since the start of training camp, things have come unglued for the Browns.
The team seems to lead the NFL in hamstring injuries, keeping a number of key players from getting valuable practice time. There is no running back stepping forward to grab hold of the position, even after position coach Wilbert Montgomery called out his guys.
Then there’s the latest, with quarterback Johnny Manziel having to be shut down with soreness in his throwing shoulder. The Browns were already down a quarterback after Connor Shaw was lost for the season due to injury.
The Browns begin the regular season in just 16 days.
So considering all that, then, if you’re Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, what are you thinking?
Are you worried that the club, with so many players battling injuries, won’t be ready to face the New York Jets on Sept. 13?
Are you worried about Manziel, that his ailment may keep him from ever becoming the franchise quarterback the organization wants him to be?
during a preseason game at FedExField on August 18, 2014 in Landover, Maryland.
Are you concerned that even if Manziel does get healthy, he simply hasn’t got what it takes to make it in the NFL?
Are you upset with the team’s doctors and trainers, that their methods have contributed to the injuries?
And for the same reason, are you upset with head coach Mike Pettine and his coaches?
Do you regret that the club traded up four spots to take Manziel at No. 22 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft?
Likewise, do you regret the team using the No. 8 overall pick in that same draft to select cornerback Justin Gilbert, who has struggled mightily?
Are you sorry now that, at the start of camp, you gave a vote of confidence to Pettine and General Manager Ray Farmer by saying that you weren’t “going to blow this thing up”?
Or do all these negative issues make you more determined than ever to stand by your men and give them a chance to see this thing through?
But if the team wins only three games, would you go back on your proclamation and fire both men?
Back to Manziel for a minute: Are you upset that, in the fourth year of your ownership, you still don’t know if you have your franchise quarterback?
Are you concerned that Brian Hoyer, who let you go in free agency, will out-play the quarterback you signed as his replacement, Josh McCown, and that it would make the organization look bad?
Do you think the Browns are better off than they were when you bought them?
Did you realize how much of a public figure the owner of an NFL team really is?
Are you sorry you bought the Browns?
Are you tired of people trying to get into your head and figure out what you’re thinking?
