SHAME ON TTUN
By STEVE KING
Jack Park, the longtime Ohio State football historian and the guy who knows more about the Buckeyes than anyone, talked rivalries – and a bunch of other cool stuff – when he served as the featured speaker at the weekly meeting at the Pro Football Luncheon Club on Monday in suburban Canton.
And as he did, he said something that made the large crowd sit up and take notice.

Park said the Buckeyes’ top two games in the 2020 regular season will be against Penn State and Oregon, both on the road.
Yes, you read that correctly, road games at Oregon and Penn State.
Nowhere did Park mention the season-ending contest against Michigan at home.
Hmmm.
That would be the same Michigan that is the Buckeyes’ arch rival in what is considered one of the top rivalries – if not THE top rivalry, period – in not just college football, but all of sports.
If not, then it’s on the short list of such.
Wow.
Double-wow.
The Wolverines have always been the Buckeyes’ biggest rival.
The Buckeyes have always been the Wolverines’ biggest rival.
And that goes back over 100 years – a whole century, mind you.
How, then, can the one against Michigan not be one of the top two games for the Buckeyes next season – or any season, for that matter? That doesn’t make any sense.
Or does it?
Well, now that you’ve asked, yes, it does make sense.
It makes total sense.
Anything else would be … well, nonsensical.
The Michigan game doesn’t make the cut because Michigan doesn’t make the cut.
The Buckeyes have been beating the Wolverines like a drum for two decades, including by a whopping 56-27 score – in Ann Arbor, no less – last year and by an equally whopping 62-39 count two seasons ago.
The Game has turned into The Shame for Michigan.
And until something changes in The Game, then the shame will continue for the Wolverines.
But what does this have to do with the Browns?
Plenty.
And I’ll tell you in my next post.
