Myles Garrett hurt in Pro Bowl

You can’t make this stuff up. You really can’t.

If you tried, then nobody would believe it.

But believe it you must, for it’s true. It’s really true.

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett dislocated his toe in the Pro Bowl. He did it in a flag football game.

Yikes!

Yes, it’s been the kind of year for the Browns.

And while it’s crazy, unbelievably crazy, it points to the reason why there is no real Pro Bowl game anymore with blocking and tackling and guys hitting the ground. It’s just too rough to do that. And now it’s to the point that it’s even injurious to have a flag football game.

The Browns just have to turn the page from something like this and move on, but it’s very hard, because Garrett is by far their best player. If he continues at his current pace, then he has a real shot of being in the Pro Football Hall of Fame someday. They can’t afford for him to get hurt.

Let’s hope that this injury isn’t a sign of things to come, and he starts suffering injuries when the action is a lot more fast-paced and hard-hitting next season. As goofy as it sounds, it will be something to watch.
