Lots going on in the AFC North

There is lots going on in the AFC North.

The Browns have made a trade with the Denver Broncos for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.  If he can
get himself back on track, it will provide the Browns with another downfield playmaker. And they desperately needed another downfield playmaker among their wideouts.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed quarterback Russell Wilson, despite the fact that only a couple years ago that used a first-round choice in the NFL Draft to take Kenny Pickett. If you’re him, then you have to worry about what’s going on. Can the Steelers get anything at all out of Wilson, who is playing at the minimum salary and may also, in the twilight of his career, be playing with the minimum skill set?

In Cincinnati, Bengals  b wide receiver Tee Higgins has requested a trade. There is, then, disharmony among the members of the team’s prolific passing game. You can bet that quarterback Joe Burrow does not want to lose that guy.

Finally, in Baltimore, the Ravens are trying to figure out once again how how to make quarterback Lamar Jackson, one of the best players in the league in the regular season, into a productive player in the playoffs, which he has never been. If they can’t do it, they’restuck between a rock and a hard place at the quarterback position. They don’t hand out awards or trophies for winning in the regular season.

Yes, sometimes the off-season is as exciting as some parts of the regular season, or even more so.
