Cade York waived

The Cade York era, what there was of it, is now officially over.

The Browns waived him, and the Tennessee Titans signed him to the practice squad. Hopefully he will get his act together and come back and have the kind of season in the NFL that the Browns envisioned when they drafted him in 2022.

With that, then, everyone can turn their attention back to quarterback Deshaun Watson. It was never the case where the Browns were going to go only as far as York took them. It has always been the case that the Browns are going to go only as far as Watson takes them.

The Browns have invested a lot of time, money and energy into Watson. If he succeeds, then the Browns have a great chance to be a real contender for the Super Bowl out of the AFC, and if he fails, then there are going to be important people in Berea getting fired.

We are about two weeks away from when that journey begins. It will be an exciting time leading up to that regular-season opener with the Cincinnati Bengals, and it will be even more exciting -– the Browns and their fans hope — for the next four months after that.
