The official inactive lists have not yet been released, but both teams have already announced several players who are ruled out.
Cleveland enters Thursday night’s game at Huntington Bank Field with three players officially ruled out, while Pittsburgh also has multiple players unavailable.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.
Browns Players Ruled Out
The Browns have ruled out three players for Thursday night’s game:
- C Elgton Jenkins — OUT
- G Teven Jenkins — OUT
- WR Tylan Wallace — OUT
Elgton Jenkins will miss the game after suffering a concussion against Carolina in Week 3. The Browns are expected to turn to Luke Wypler at center in his place. (Cleveland Browns)
Teven Jenkins will miss his fourth consecutive game because of a back injury.
Wallace is also out after suffering a knee injury late in Cleveland’s Week 3 victory over the Panthers. (Cleveland Browns)

Good news for Cleveland’s secondary
The Browns did receive some positive injury news.
Tyson Campbell does not have an injury designation and is expected to return against Pittsburgh after missing Cleveland’s Week 3 game.
Safety Grant Delpit and right tackle Tytus Howard also do not have injury designations. (Yahoo Sports)
Getting Campbell back could be particularly important against Pittsburgh’s passing game.
Steelers Players Ruled Out
Pittsburgh will also be without several players.
- CB Joey Porter Jr. — OUT
- RB Rico Dowdle — OUT
Porter was ruled out with a back/conditioning issue and had not played during Pittsburgh’s first three games of the season. (NFL Fantasy)
Then, in a major Thursday news development, the Steelers agreed to trade Porter to the Dallas Cowboys. The deal reportedly sends Porter to Dallas for a 2027 sixth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick. (Reuters)
That means Porter will not be part of the Steelers’ secondary against Cleveland.
Two Steelers Defensive Backs Remain Questionable
Two Pittsburgh defensive backs remain worth watching:
CB Brandin Echols — QUESTIONABLE
Echols cleared concussion protocol but remains listed as questionable. (Pittsburgh Steelers)
CB Jalen Ramsey — QUESTIONABLE
Ramsey is dealing with a wrist injury and was limited during the week. He has indicated that he will attempt to play, but his availability remains a game-time consideration. (Pittsburgh Steelers)
If either Echols or Ramsey is unable to play, Pittsburgh could be forced to make additional adjustments in its secondary.
What the Injuries Mean for the Browns
The biggest concern for Cleveland is along the offensive line.
Losing Elgton Jenkins means Luke Wypler will take over at center, while Teven Jenkins remains unavailable at guard. Cleveland’s offensive line will have to deal with a Pittsburgh defense that can create pressure and disrupt the running game.
The return of Tyson Campbell, however, gives the Browns another important piece in the secondary.
On the other side, Pittsburgh’s secondary could look considerably different than it did entering the week with Porter no longer with the team and Ramsey and Echols both dealing with injuries.
