If the Browns had the chance to do it again, would they do it again?
That is, if the Browns could go back in time, would they make the decision to trade with the Houston Texans for quarterback Deshaun Watson, and then give him a fully-guaranteed contract that is just short of $240 million?
And wonder if they are thinking about it right now?
I don’t know for a fact, but I’d bet a dollar to a doughnut that they are. They’re huma,
This a total mess. We all know that. It’s plain to see.
The Browns coaches and General Manager Andrew Berry can’t even plan what to do at quarterback, the most important position in team sports, because they don’t know the details, the length of the suspension the NFL will hand down. It may be weeks away, or even longer. Who knows?
It’s like trying to put together a car without knowing about the engine, or building a house without knowing if it will be a ranch or a two-story.
All this upheaval – all this dysfunction – and people who are supposedly in the know are still predicting good things for the Browns. How? Yeah, only if the team can play without a quarterback.
So, again, would the top people on the Browns do it again if they had the chance?
