Why not the Browns?
Indeed, why not your Cleveland Browns?
Why can’t they win the AFC North title? Come on, tell me why?
They are 2-1 and in first place. The Baltimore Ravens are 1-1, the Pittsburgh Steelers are 1-2 and the Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2.
You saw the Steelers first-hand on Thursday night when the Browns beat them 29-17. It’s still the Steelers and it’s a first-class organization with the Rooneys and a first-class head coach with Mike Tomlin, but the offense is a mess and, specifically, the quarterback situation is muddled, at best.
The Ravens blew a big lead and a game to the Miami Dolphins last Sunday, so the jury is out on their defense.
The Bengals offensive line looks as bad as, or even worse than, the one that almost got quarterback Joe Burrow broken in half last season. All that despite the fact the organization poured tons of money into the line in the offseason in terms of free-agent signings.
So, where’s the juggernaut among the three other teams? That’s right, there isn’t one.
Again, then, why not the Browns?
