The right time for a big win

For the second straight time this season, quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the offense played oh, so well.

For the first time, the defense finished well.

For the third consecutive time, things went right down to the wire.

For the second time, the Browns are winners, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-17 on Thursday Night Football at FirstEnergy Stadium to up their record to 2-1.

And as such, for the third time in the last four seasons, the Browns beat the Steelers at Cleveland.

They did it this time by running over, through and around Pittsburgh, with Nick Chubb, who turned in his second career 100-yard rushing performance against that team, and Kareem Hunt taking turns wearing down the defense.

It was fun to watch.

And it was even more fun to play for the Browns, who, after last Sunday’s 31-30 loss to the New York Jets on this same field in which they blew a 13-point lead in the final 1:55, desperately needed something like this.
