It’s been a disastrous season for the Browns right from the get-go — the numbers are not good — but they have looked good losing in one sense.
That is, their tradition-rich uniforms are, once again, among the very best in the NFL.
That was evidenced in Sunday’s 21–7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Huntington Bank Field.
Though I still like the orange ones much better, the Browns’ white helmets on display are starting to grow on me a little bit. However, those shadowed numbers on the all-white uniforms, a look that was worn throughout the team’s first season in 1946 and then discontinued, was simply outstanding. The Browns have worn those numbers several times this season.
If they made that the new official number design, along with the white shadowed numbers on the brown jerseys, also used for only 1946, I would not be unhappy.
And that is coming from a guy who normally doesn’t like change on the Browns uniforms. Generally speaking, they are great the way they are.
Now, again, if only the team looked as good as the uniforms.
