There’s a definitely pattern developing here for the Browns in this NFL Draft.
The Browns are picking fast guys, those who can run past opponents.
They’re selecting playmakers, those who have a track record of making differences in games.
They’re choosing players from Power-5 conferences, those who performed against the biggest schools that usually have the best players.
And they’re taking players with good character, those upon whom the team can count.
That continued with the pick on Saturday, in the fourth round at No. 114 overall, of Auburn wide receiver Ricardo Louis.
Louis joins a position area on the Browns that was really weak going into the draft, but has now gotten two big doses of help. The club used its first-round pick to take wideout Corey Coleman of Baylor.
Quarterback Robert Griffin III has a big arm and likes to throw the ball deep. Now he will have two rookies who will be able to run downfield and catch those passes.
Again, are you listening, Ray Farmer, you who, for some crazy reason, didn’t think wide receivers were important?
