The End of the Line for Kevin Stefanski in Cleveland?

A no-confidence vote.

That’s what I will say about Browns head coach — at least for now but stay tuned — Kevin Stefanski.

I have absolutely no confidence — none, zero, nada — in him to make any decision — right ones, that is — for this football team.

I didn’t think I’d get here so soon — certainly not this year — because it was to be a rebuilding year and there would be no real expectations.

That was the case for the first four games, but then came Sunday’s 21-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. He mismanaged the playcalling late in the game when, with the Browns ahead 17-14, having the ball and needing to keep running the ball, something the Browns had done so well all day, to milk the clock and close down the game, he filled the air with passes —unsuccessfully so — and quickly punted the ball back to Minnesota.

What in the world was he thinking? The running game is a quarterback’s best friend, especially a young one and even more so a rookie, such as Stefanski’s own guy, Dillon Gabriel, making his first NFL start. Gabriel leaned on that running attack all game, and then Stefanski brain-cramped it away from him.

Stefanski is not “The Quarterback Whisperer,” but rather he’s “The Quarterback Killer.” He’s screwed up every quarterback situation since he’s been here. Plus he’s 4-19
In his last 23 games.

Enough already! It’s time for the Browns to move on from Kevin Stefanski.
