The Art of Atrocious Offense

Does the Browns offense practice?

And if they do practice, then do the players focus on what they’re doing?

These may sound like stupid, idiotic, silly questions, but I actually do wonder about this.

That’s because the members of the Browns offense play as if they’ve not practiced, and if they have practiced , then no one has paid any attention to what was being done.

This offense is dreadful, and it has been dreadful all season. That was evident once again on Sunday in a 21–14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals at Huntington Bank Field.

There is no attention to detail.

The players don’t seem to know the plays, and if they do, then they don’t seem to know how to run them properly.

There is absolutely no cohesion, no flow to the offense and no sense of purpose to anything they are doing.

After last season, the Browns fired their running backs coach and their offensive coordinator, at least the offensive coordinator in name, and their offensive line coach left to work under his son, the new head coach of the Carolina Panthers.

The Browns felt really good about the guys they brought in as replacements, but guess what? They are all pretty bad, certainly not up to the standard of the men they followed.

And all that has to be laid squarely at the feet of the head coach, the office of coordinator for intenys and purposes and the man responsible for everything that happens on the field with this team, and that’s head coach Kevin Stefanski. To claim that he has done a poor job this season would be like saying the sun is going to come up tomorrow morning. it is obvious.

So, what do Browns co-owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam do about that going forward?

Because this stuff is atrocious. It is an absolute embarrassment.
