Shut up, Mike Pettine, just please shut up – Browns Daily Dose with Steve King

If it were up to me, then Browns head coach Mike Pettine would have already been fired.

Long long ago. Outta here. See ya. Hit the road, pal.

I am sick and tired of Pettine. I am sick and tired of his big ego. I am sick and tired of his losing. I am sick and tired of him saying nothing – absolutely nothing – and not changing his expression one bit as things went haywire on the sideline. I am sick and tired of him talking about the future of this team when he won’t be here next year, and when he did so much to screw up that future with his ignorance and stupidity. I am sick and tired of his gross mishandling of personnel. I am sick and tired of the way he botched the quarterback position.

And I am sick and tired of him opening his big, fat mouth and saying ignorant things.

As they used to say back in the World War II days, “Every time he talks, he weakens the nation.” Every time Pettine talks, he weakens the Browns. He makes our ears hurt. Our intelligence levels are lower for having heard his words.

Pettine said the other day that Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel’s off-the-field issues may keep him from having sustained success in the NFL.

That may or may not be true. It’s another discussion for another time.

But how dare Pettine say that. I’m incredulous. And every Browns fan should be as well.

Pettine doesn’t like Manziel. He never has. He never wanted Manziel on his team. He didn’t want to play Manziel even when it was clear he should have been playing. Playing Manziel would have been giving in to General Manager Ray Farmer in their silly, childish battle. Farmer likes Manziel. Forget what’s best for the Browns. Win that ego fistfight, Mike. That’s what counts.

Yeah, right.

Unbelievable.

Pettine knows nothing about the quarterback position. He has proven that again and again and again.

For him to say anything about quarterbacks and Manziel and the future of the Browns is like a fat guy talking about the importance of heating healthy. Neither him, nor Pettine, should say a word.

Shut up, Mike.

If Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has any idea what he’s doing – and that’s up for debate – then Pettine will soon be gone. He’ll soon be just a bad – very bad – memory, out of sight and out of mind.

I can hardly wait.

I don’t do stupid very well.
