Shunning Tretter but embracing Watson

Let me get this straight.

Is it possible, or more likely probable, that the reason the Browns are reluctant to re-sign JC Tretter despite their great need at center with the loss of starter Nick Harris for the season due to a knee injury, is because of the fact he has had some tough stances on various issues, especially player safety, through his affiliation with the NFL Players Association?

Hmmm.

So Browns officials, including General Manager Andrew Berry and owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam, in cutting off their nose to spite their face so to speak, are going to shun Tretter to the detriment of the team – the guy is really good – while at the same time they are fully embracing someone like Deshaun Watson, whose egregious moral conduct has made the club look bad, even in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio?

Really?

Really?!

Really?!!

This doesn’t make any sense, either business sense or common sense.

Of course, ever since the trade for Watson, a lot of things have not made sense with this club.
