Should the front office quit, too

The Browns players have quit — again — on head coach Kevin Stefanski.

It was evident in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 35–14 road loss to New Orleans, as the Browns took a game that was tied at halftime and then decided enough was enough in terms of their effort and let the Saints score 21 unanswered points to move Cleveland record to 2–8.

So, then, considering that this is not the first time this season that the Browns players have quit on Stefanski, is it time for the Browns front office to quit on him?

Whatever Stefanski is selling, the players are no longer buying it. They are no longer even listening to it.

With that, then, the Browns can play their final seven games and go through the motions, or owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam can be proactive and cut this off at the pass and give the Browns a little bit of a chance to start moving forward to 2025 by naming somebody like consultant Mike Vrabel as the head coach.

This is embarrassing, humiliating and downright irresponsible, especially to a fan base that has supported this team so well for almost 80 years.

If the Browns aren’t going to play hard, then let’s just forfeit the last part of the season and everybody can go home.

Indeed, with the Pittsburgh Steelers coming in on Thursday night, the Browns can play hard and still lose by a lot, and if they don’t play hard at all, then it will be historically bad.

It’s up to the Haslams. We’ll see how much they care.
