🏈 No. 3 Mount Carmel (IL) at No. 1 Archbishop Moeller (OH)

When: Saturday, Aug. 30, 1 p.m. ET
Where: Grein Field at Roettger Stadium, Cincinnati

Moeller opened the season with a strong 41-20 win over Princeton, but now faces an even bigger challenge — Chicago’s Mount Carmel, the defending Illinois Class 7A state champions. Expect a battle that could come down to the final drive.

🏈 No. 7 Archbishop Hoban (OH) at No. 2 Archbishop Spalding (MD)

The Knights started strong with a 31-12 victory over Harvest Prep, but heading to Maryland won’t be easy. Spalding, coming off a tough loss to Indiana’s Brownsburg, will be motivated to bounce back in front of its home fans.

St. Edward showed its dominance with a shutout win over Pickerington North. Next up: New Jersey’s Delbarton, a perennial contender coming off a 7-3 season.

🏈 No. 6 Liberty Christian Academy (VA) at No. 26 Ironton (OH)

When: Saturday, Aug. 30, 8 p.m. ET
Where: Tanks Memorial Stadium, Ironton

Ironton couldn’t have asked for a better start, rolling past Shelby Valley 63-0. The home opener brings Virginia’s Liberty Christian Academy, looking for its second win of the season. This one should be a closer fight.

🏈 No. 2 Middletown (DE) at No. 11 Bishop Watterson (OH)

When: Saturday, Aug. 30, 4:30 p.m. ET
Where: Ironton High School, Ohio

Bishop Watterson looked sharp in its 37-15 victory over Big Walnut and now welcomes the defending Delaware Class 3A champion, Middletown. The Cavaliers will be making their 2025 season debut in Ohio.
