No Bell, Just Watson for the time being

I already don’t like this Browns training camp.

I was anxious to see rookie wide receiver David Bell from Purdue, the guy who burned every team – every cornerback — he faced the last couple of seasons. But he will start the season on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform List with a foot problem.

Ugh!

Other than some guy named Deshaun Watson who has morals – perhaps you’ve heard of him – he’s the only Brown who intrigues me. I want to find out how he’ll do against pro corners.

Not that these other players are lacking in ability – far from it, in fact, in the case of a Browns team that is stacked with good players – but it’s just that Bell, and Watson, are the only stories worth following.

Now it’s going to be only Watson until Bell returns.

I will be watching Watson for all the wrong reasons.

I will, at some point hopefully soon, be watching Bell for all the good reasons. He seems like a great young man. I can’t say the same thing about Watson.

Watson is that traffic accident we can’t help but stare at as we drive by it on the highway.
