At first glance, and perhaps the second, third and fourth ones as well, there doesn’t seem to be a good reason to watch the Browns visit the New York Jets on Sunday.

Indeed, both teams are at the bottom of the food chain, so to speak, in the NFL this season. This game won’t likely be one fans will remember years from now.

Indeed, what is the compelling attraction, especially for casual fans?
That’s easy, actually. It is another opportunity to watch incredible defensive end Myles Garrett.
Browns fans have been down this road before.
In the mid-1970s, when the team was struggling, there was Jerry Sherk, the best defensive tackle in club history and someone who would be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame had he not suffered a knee injury late in 1979 that turned into a staph infection and almost killed him, ending his career just as he was having his best season ever.
In the expansion era, which has been a nightmare for the Browns team-wise, fans have kept tuning in to see Phil Dawson, the best kicker in club history, Hall of Famer Joe Thomas, the best left tackle, and Joshua Cribbs, the top returner.
And now here we are again, this time with Garrett.
But just how good is he?
We’ll look at that next time.
