When the Browns have struggled since 2021, and they have struggled quite a bit, we have pointed the finger right where it needs to be pointed, and that is it head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Indeed, no matter what the team, when it does not play well, the blame is placed at the feet of its head coach. And that is the way it should be.
In the same way, though, when a team plays well, then the praise has to be directed at its head coach. The good stuff has to be laid at his feet, too.
So, with the Browns at 5-3 at basically the halfway point of the season, and with the fact they are right in the thick of the race for both the AFC North championship and a spot in the playoffs, despite all the negative things that have happened to the Browns in terms of injuries to keep players, including the quarterback, then we have to salute Stefanski.
If we don’t do that, then we are being dishonest and unfair. It is really no more complicated than that.
I am thrilled before the Browns are at right now, and it is a place that I didn’t think they would be at, especially when they’ve faced misfortune, since the season begin. Stefanski is the reason for that. He kept the team together when it might have otherwise come apart at the seams. That is what a head coach is supposed to do, and Stefanski has done it.
Really, when you get right down to it, he has done as good of a job with the Browns as any coach in the NFL has done with his team. In fact, he may have done the best job of anybody. His critics may not want to hear that, but it is indeed the case.
Good job, Kevin Stefanski. Now you just need to keep it up for the rest of the season.
