The two most important positions on offense — quarterback and left tackle — are now officially the two worst positions on that side of the ball.
Indeed, the Browns don’t have a viable, proven quarterback they can count on going forward after the Deshaun Watson escapade blew up in their faces, and they are also without a viable, proven left tackle to protect the blind side of that franchise quarterback after Jed Wills Jr. made a business decision by not playing, thus ending, for all intents and purposes, his mediocre career in Cleveland.
The Browns traded three first-round picks in the NFL Draft to get Watson from the Houston Texans and then gave him a fully-guaranteed, $320 million contract, and they drafted Willis in the first round, at No. 10 overall, in 2020.
They got essentially no return on both investments. And you must get good return. You can’t swing and completely miss on defining decisions like that.

Again, that of the usual suspects, General Manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski.
So, Browns co-owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam are thinking about retaining the pair for what reason?
