Kevin Stefanski’s Comments Are Offensive

As is the case with most things, particularly when it comes to quarterback and offense, his supposed specialties, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was dead-wrong when he said the other day that the offense’s struggles are not the fault of just one person, but rather a number of people.

That’s entirely incorrect. The problem is the fault of one — and only one — person.

Who?

His name is Kevin Stefanski.

It’s a no-brainer. Indeed, how could it possibly be anyone else but him?

He has put together the roster for all of his six years in Cleveland.

He has constructed the offense.

He calls all the plays.

Yeah, other than that, he has absolutely nothing to do with the offense.

The offense stinks because he stinks as the boss of the offense.

Oh, sure, Tommy Rees is the offensive coordinator by name and job title, but he is no more the guy coordinating the offense than I am, or you are, or your neighbor or your uncle or your grandmother.

This offense will do better — how can it do any worse? — when, and only when, Kevin Stefanski’s hands are no longer on any part of the offense.

We all know that will happen only if he is fired from all his roles with the Browns.

So, what’s stopping that from happening?
