Just Do It – Browns Daily Dose with Steve King

I think I’m probably like a lot of people in that I don’t like to sit around with others and talk about what we’re going to do.

Once we finalize a plan of action, let’s get up, get out and get it done.

It’s like the Nike slogan, “Just do it.”

As another sports motto goes, “Talk less. Do more.”

That’s why I’m sick and tired of hearing the Browns talk every week about the need to get the ball more to wide receiver Amari Cooper in the passing game.

They spent a lot of money on free agency to sign Cooper to be the veteran, productive presence in a receivers room full of young players. The idea made sense. But the application of it has not.

He is the Hailey’s Comet of Browns pass catchers in that he gets one catch and then doesn’t have the ball thrown his way for a long time.”

Why?

The Browns have been practicing this offense since the spring in this camp and that camp. They’ve played four regular-season games. And the inability, or unwillingness, to get the ball to Cooper is because of … what?

For goodness sake, quit talking about it, meeting about it and putting it into the game plan. Just throw him the football and be done with it.
