Hue Jackson just needs to shut up.
The former Browns head coach simply won’t go away. He keeps throwing stuff against the wall in hopes that something — anything — sticks.
Now he’s claiming that the Browns gave him incentives to lose, which the club categorically denies.
Ol’ Hue is simply delusional. He’s a lunatic.
He can’t accept the fact that he can’t coach. He can’t accept that his stint with the Browns was not just bad, but historically bad. And sure, the Browns of that time were lacking talent, but he made it worse — a whole lot worse, in fact — by his terrible coaching. His gameday coaching was especially bad. His offensive play-calling defied logic.
He became a cartoon character, and every time something like this happens, it just perpetuates and gets worse.
And here he is, with one of his former teams, the Cincinnati Bengals, getting ready to play in the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years, and this guy is muddying up the waters by carrying on like this.
These expansion-era Browns have made some huge mistakes through the years, and hiring Jackson was one of the absolute worst. Here it is all these years after his getting fired, and he’s trying to keep his name in the news.
He had better be careful. He could be sued for defamation of character. Perhaps it will take something like that — or at least the threat of it — to make him go away.
Something needs to do that. He’s becoming an unwanted and unneeded sideshow. He’s doing more damage now than when he was coaching the Browns, and that’s saying a lot, for he was terrible.
It was funny for a while, this guy acting like a knucklehead. Now it’s simply irritating.
Indeed, “Humiliated” Hue Jackson just needs to shut up.
