ESPN.com came out recently with a story calling the Browns the most unwatchable team in the NFL.
That’s fair. The Browns were bad last year, finishing 3-14 and playing poorly offensively, and there will likely be more of the same this season.
We’ll see.
But at the same time, ESPN, and ESPN.com, is the most worthless national media entity out there when it comes to covering the NFL.
Other then Adam Schefter, who is spoon-fed news from sources and hasn’t had an original thought in years, there are only a few people at “the worldwide leader” who have any idea what they’re talking about.
Former Browns defensive back Louis Riddick is tremendous. He’s the Jim Brown of the ESPN contingent. But he’s surrounded by a bunch of so-called analysts, insiders and experts who have the ability of a Deshaun Watson. They’re clueless, and that’s being kind.
There is much better stuff in the first 15 minutes of Mike Florio’s Pro Football Talk weekday morning show on Sirius XM Radio than there is in a week of ESPN coverage.
Really.
In fact, the ESPN misfits are so far behind anything else out there that they need a telescope to see the next-worst entity.
Really, again.
Indeed, ESPN is headquartered in a big glass building, so it had better be careful.
