FROM LANGHORNE TO JUREVICIUS

There can be, and usually are, a lot of wide receivers on the field on the same play.

It’s the way football, especially that in the NFL, is played now with all the passing. Teams flood the field with pass-catchers and the quarterback sits back in the pocket and waits until one of them gets open.

With that, then, I couldn’t stop my list of the greatest wide receivers in Browns history at just 10, as discussed in my last two posts. I’m adding 15 more to complete it with a total of 25 players.

Here it is:

*11. Reggie Langhorne (played with the Browns from 1985-91) – One of the toughest receivers Browns have ever had.

*12. Braylon Edwards (2005-09) – Remember that great season he had in 2007?

*13. Dennis Northcutt (2000-06) – Tied with Earnest Byner for 10th place on all-time receptions list with 276.

*14. Michael Jackson (1991-95) – Caught 170 passes for 28 TDs.

*15. Pete Brewster (1952-58) – Averaged 18.1 yards per reception.

*16. Ricky Feacher (1976-84) – “Hollywood Dude” saved Browns with two TD catches in 1980 division-clinching in at Cincinnati.

*17. Josh Gordon (2012-14) – If only he could have kept himself clean, he would be Hall of Famer someday.

*18. Quincy Morgan (2001-04) – Caught 33 passes, 15 of which were for scores.

*19. Greg Little (2011-13) – Led team in receptions two straight seasons.

*20. Rich Kreitling (1959-63) – Had 15 touchdown grabs.

*21. Fair Hooker (1969-74) – A great name, and a good player.

*22. Antonio Bryant (2004-05) – Caught 111 passes in less than two seasons.

*23. Andrew Hawkins (2014-16) – Good free-agent signing from the Bengals.

*24. Mark Carrier (1993-94) – Caught TD pass to put Browns ahead to stay in 1994 playoff win over New England.

*25. Joe Jurevicius (2006-07) – Mentor Lake Catholic High product was much like Dave Logan.
