Ego Over Wins in Cleveland

This won’t be a long story.

Because it doesn’t have to be.

This is just common sense, which Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, for whatever reason, seems to avoid at all costs.

When he was asked the other day if he was going to give quarterback Shedeur Sanders a shot, he said he was going to stick with Dillon Gabriel coming out of the bye that the Browns have this weekend. He would not elaborate.

Of course, Stefanski doesn’t want to explain his reasoning, because it’s that the Browns are going to keep playing Gabriel, despite his continued struggles, so as to try to justify why they took him in the third round of the NFL Draft and did not select Sanders until the fifth round. If they play Sanders and he balls out, then it’s going to make it look like the Browns don’t know what they’re doing when they draft. Newsflash: We figured that out a long time ago. Just give Sanders a chance, and then determine who the best guy is. It will be him and not Gabriel.

The Browns are once again putting their own egos in front of the success of the team.

And you wonder why Myles Garrett is all ticked off? That man wants to win. What a novel idea!

Steve, If Myles Garrett really wants to win, he wouldn’t have taken more money from the Browns instead of going to a contender. It’s his fault. He wanted to be traded, but when the Browns offered more moolah, he changed his mind and stayed. It’s totally on him that he’s playing for a loser this season once again. Roger
