DESMOND BRYANT REACHES THE BREAKING POINT

This is a short tale about a good thing.

Believeland Shirts!!

And too much.

That when you put them together, you can indeed get too much of a good thing.

With all that, then, we welcome you to Browns defensive lineman Desmond Bryant, who had too much of a good thing.

He lifted too much weight, too many times, too often.

As such, he tore his pectoral muscle recently and will be out for the season.

It is a huge loss for the Browns. They didn’t have enough talent – especially veteran talent – on either side of the ball, and now they have less.

That’s not a good thing. In that case, less is less.

I’m not a big fan of a lot of these these strength and conditioning coaches. I’m all for the conditioning part of it. The Browns sorely need that. They’ve been out of shape for a long time, and as a result they fade late in games. They run out of gas. No gas, no wins. The tank and the win column are both on empty.

But all that weight training is too much. The body is a machine. When you run it too hard, too many times and for too long, it will eventually break.

If I were Browns head coach Hue Jackson, I’d be steamed. I’d also be asking a lot of hard, direct questions, and if I didn’t get the answers I wanted, I’d do something about it.
