Why is it that people in New York believe that everything that happens there, sport and otherwise, is the center of the universe?
Former Browns scout Mike Tannenbaum, who was also the general manager of the New York Jets and now does work for ESPN as an NFL analyst, mentioned the Browns giving up on quarterback Deshaun Watson and making a trade with the New York Giants for Daniel Jones.
That is absolutely absurd!
Yes, the Watson situation has not worked out at all for the Browns, but have you seen Jones play, or at least try to play? He is horrible. I feel bad for former Browns coordinator offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who is head coach of the Giants. He is hamstrung with a quarterback who can’t play, not even a little bit.
As much as I want the Browns quarterback to improve, I don’t want Jones anywhere near that team. If he flies over Berea in an airplane, then he is getting too close.
Tanenbaum should stick to what he knows about, and he obviously doesn’t know very much about the Browns, Deshaun Watson or Daniel Jones.
