CLEARING THINGS UP AFTER ANOTHER LOSS

The longer this miserable Browns season goes on, the easier it gets – at least in two respects.

Every Sunday it becomes clearer and clearer that the Browns will not win a game this year.

And it also becomes clearer and clearer that no matter what position area the club decides to address with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, it will be one that needs help. That’s because the Browns need help at every position.

The latest chapter of this realization occurred Sunday when the Browns fell 33-13 to the Buffalo Bills at New Era Stadium, and with that fell to 0-14 with two games to play.

Do the Browns make some rushing plays?

Yes, but not nearly enough.

Do the Browns make some passing plays?

Yes, but not nearly enough.

Do the Browns make some plays defensively against the run?

Yes, but not nearly enough.

Do the Browns make some plays defensively against the pass?

Yes, but not nearly enough.

Do the Browns make plays on special teams?

Yes, but not nearly enough.

So there you have it. The Browns have as many holes as there are positions on the field. Just pick a spot and fortify it with the best player on the board. There is no wrong answer. Any answer – any player – will work.

In a season like this, you look for slivers of brightness.

And pray that this season ends soon.
