So, the Browns have been busy already this offseason.
On Tuesday, they fired special teams coordinator Mike Priefer, whose units were anything but special.
They have, of course, also fired defensive coordinator Joe Woods, whose guys were undisciplined and ineffective, and replaced him with Jim Schwartz in a nice move.
In addition, they have parted ways with quarterbacks coach Drew Petzing, who was merely a figurehead; defensive line coach Chris Kiffin, whose tackles couldn’t tackle in the running game; and secondary coach Jeff Howard, whose guys would have led the NFL in blown coverages, if there were such a statistic.
No matter who they hire to replace them, especially in the case of Howard and Kiffin, they have to be better, right? It is addition by subtraction.
Things are looking up in Berea.
