TEAM

  • The Browns improved to 13-8 all-time against the 49ers, including an 8-2 mark at home. The Browns have won the past four meetings in Cleveland.
  • The Browns improved to 3-1 at home this season. Since head
    coach Kevin Stefanski was hired in 2020, the Browns are 19-10
    (.655) at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
  • Kevin Stefanski improved to 3-1 as a head coach following the
    bye.

QB P.J. WALKER

  • Making his first start with the Browns, QB P.J. Walker completed
    18 of 34 passes for 192 yards. He led the Browns on a 9-play, 43-
    yard game-winning drive that resulted in a 29-yard fi eld goal with
    1:16 to play.

CB MARTIN EMERSON JR.

  • CB Martin Emerson Jr. recorded his fi rst career interception. He
    added six tackles and two passes defensed.

DEFENSE

  • The Browns limited the 49ers, who entered the game averaging
    more than 400 yards per game, to 215 yards. The Browns have
    allowed just 1,002 yards this season, the third fewest by any NFL
    team through the first five game since 1970. It is also the fewest
    allowed in Browns history through the first six weeks.

  • The Browns defense held the 49ers to 3-of-12 (25%) on third
    downs. For the season, the Browns have limited opponents to 15-
    of-65 (23.1%) on third down. Cleveland entered Week 6 leading
    the NFL in third down conversion percentage.

K DUSTIN HOPKINS

  • K Dustin Hopkins connected on four fi eld goals, including a 29-
    yard game-winner. He converted on fi eld goals of 29, 42, 46 and
    50 yards. He has connected on fi eld goals of 50-plus yards in four
    consecutive the games, the longest streak by any Browns player.
    Hopkins is the fi rst Brown with four fi eld goals in a game since
    Cade York in Week 1 of 2022.

    WR AMARI COOPER
  • WR Amari Cooper led the game with four receptions for 108
    yards, including a 58-yard reception. This marked Cooper’s
    32nd career game surpassing 100-receving yards and second this
    season.

G JOEL BITONIO

  • G Joel Bitonio missed his fi rst game since Jan. 1, 2017 due to a
    knee injury. Bitonio had played the previous 102 consecutive
    games and did not miss an off ensive snap during that time. His
    snap streak was ended at 6,481 consecutive off ensive snaps. For
    his career, Bitonio has started the second most games (133) and
    played in the fourth most games (133) of any Browns player since
    1999.

INJURY REPORT

  • LB Anthony Walker Jr. suff ered a concussion.

OTHER NOTES

  • RB Kareem Hunt recorded his fi rst touchdown of the season on a
    16-yard score. He has 32 career rushing touchdowns.
  • DE Ogbo Okoronkwo recorded a sack. He is second on the team
    with 3.5 this season. Okoronkwo has recorded at least half of a
    sack in three consecutive games.
  • WR Marquise Goodwin recorded a career-long 20-yard rush.
  • LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah recorded a sack. He has 2.5 in his
    career.
