The offense went back to being offensive.
The defense needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out where they’re supposed to be in their coverages in the secondary.
And the Browns overall are back to where, unfortunately, they have been way too many times in this expansion era, and that is for intense purposes out of the playoff race at the midway point of the season after falling 27–10 to the Los Angeles Chargers, hardly a juggernaut, on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.
The score says it all, for the Browns did very little right. Oh, they sacked quarterback Justin Herbert six times in the first half, but they also got beat time and time again and for scores because, as mentioned, receivers were running free in the back end of their defense.
With all that, then, let’s hope the Browns have a better plan of what they want to do with the trade deadline looming on Tuesday. They have to figure out what parts they want to sell off, and what parts they want to keep as they go forward on what should be a pretty huge rebuilding program.
