You’ve seen it this season, especially in the latter half.
In fact, you’ve seen it for a number of seasons.
And it happened Tuesday night and continues through Thursday against the Detroit Tigers, and then Friday through Sunday against the Texas Rangers, all at Progressive Field, to finish the regular season in this wildly exciting American League postseason race.

Those guys know — that organization knows — how to win. The Guardians figure out what they need to do to win, and then they do it.
It’s easy, but it’s complicated, if you get the drift.
The Browns used to do this back in the day — all good teams do — but they haven’t done it for a while. I’ve been begging the Browns to get back to that, to be just like the Guardians.
And — finally — they took a step in that direction with their 13-10 comeback win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.
It wasn’t easy by any means. It was ugly to the nth degree. But, with a lot — a whole heckuva lot — of defense, a tiny little bit of offense at just the right time and some huge plays on special teams at the very end, mixed all together in a perfect concoction, and the Browns came up with a sweet-, sweet-tasting late-afternoon treat.
Let’s hope that, as has been the case for a long, long time with the Guardians, it also becomes the staple of the Browns’ weekly menu.
