Browns drop 20-16 contest in Philadelphia

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said following the team’s fourth consecutive loss, this time by 20-16 to the host Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, that he is sticking with Deshaun Watson as quarterback.

That is frustrating.

Embarrassing.

Stupid.

Egregious.

Unbelievable.

A joke.

Irresponsible.

Terrible.

Disrespectful to the best fans anywhere, who deserve so much better.

If Stefanski doesn’t care about the Browns winning and losing, then maybe the fans shouldn’t care, either. Perhaps if they stay away in droves next Sunday at Huntington Bank Firld, then he and his employers, Brown owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam, will sit up and take notice instead of letting this horrible situation continue.

In fact, with the NFL being a bottom line business, and that bottom line being winning, why does Stefanski still have a job? He has been the head coach for five years, and the Browns have made the playoffs in only two of them, with but one postseason victory. That is counting this year, when it would take a small miracle for them to make it.

If you are thinking about getting rid of him, then you have to think about getting rid of his buddy, the team’s general manager, Andrew Barry, who orchestrated the trade for quarterback Deshaun Watson, something that has set this franchise back years. It’s not just the worst deal in Browns history, but it probably is also the worst deal in NFL history.
