A boy walked into a middle school in a state adjacent to Ohio the other day wearing a Browns ball cap.
Several times this school year, he was sporting a brown Nick Chubb jersey.
He is close with his dad, who is an Ohio native and a big Browns fan, so he wears these things and has adopted the team because of that relationship. That’s despite the fact he lives in the metro area where another NFL franchise is based.
Now, if the Browns want to keep as a fan this young man — or any young fan, male or female, in any locale — then they have to start winning.
Right away, now, this moment, this instant.
And going 3-11 — thus far, and it can, and likely will, get worse in these last three games — and having yet another losing season, is not winning, or anything even close to it.
