A first half to remember for the Browns on Thursday night against the New York Jets, for when it was over, they had scored 34 points, the most in the first half in 69 years, and led by 17 points.
And a second half to remember, for when it was over, the Browns had clinched the playoffs birth, for only the second time in 21 years, and the first time since 2020.
The Browns won 37–20 to go to 11-5 with one regular-season game remaining, on Jan. 7 at Cincinnati.
That they did it with all these injuries, including some more incurred in the game, just makes it all that more special.
This is the most incredible season of Browns history, for there is no plausible explaination for how this team battled through all this adversity and still managed to do what it has done. You just can’t believe it.
But those among the full house at Cleveland Browns Stadium
on Thursday sure believe it, for they saw it with their own eyes.
There is so much more to say about this victory, this season and this team, and we have a week and a half to do it.
For right now, though, it’s time to just sit back, savor it and enjoy.
