A game by a couple names
Sunday’s game between the Browns and Buffalo Bills at Field in Detroit could be called the Joe DeLamiellure Bowl.
A Detroit native, the guard split his Pro Football Hall of Fame career between the Browns (1980-84) and Bills (1973-79).
Or it called the Escape The Big Snowstorm in Buffalo Bowl.
Otherwise, this game means a lot to the Bills, who are trying to hang on to first place in the AFC East before getting ready to play once more at Ford Field against the Lions on Thursday in Detroit’s annual Thanksgiving Day game.
For the Browns, the game offers nothing more than a chance for them to end a skid that has seen them lose five of their last six games to fall to 3-6. They are still technically in the postseason hunt, but realistically they are in it only if half of the AFC teams go on sabbatical.
Only two more weeks before quarterback Deshaun Watson returns from an 11-game NFL suspension to save the day for the Browns.
Yeah, right.
The problem is that there are people who actually believe that.
What do I believe?
That this is already one of the most frustrating seasons in Browns history.
